Nike set out to convert members who are interested in Nike as a lifestyle brand into athletes who move. To do so, we needed to create a work out that was approachable and could appeal to members with conscious lifestyles. This is how Member’s Retreat was born: a yoga and wellness centered program that offers style-minded members a space where they can slow down, reflect, and move.

The youth of Japan are quick on trends, quick on the latest styles, and quick on the hottest sneakers. But when it comes to actual movement, they don’t seem to budge. 
R/GA partnered with Nike to turn those credit swipe members into athletes who move.

By framing sport in a way that feels good for both the mind and the body, Member’s Retreat sets out to make sport feel a little less sporty, and a little more suited to the tastes of our members’ conscious lifestyle

We crafted an overall beautiful experience that elevates the workout world, and transports Nike members to an immersive, restorative space. To do so, we considered all the elements that go into making a workout video. Thinking about how the space is designed; partnering with artists to reach an unexpected level of craft; targeting seasonal stressors to make each workout resonate with our members, using sensory audio techniques to create custom audio with composers; and working with a cast that is both trainer and novice so that the workout feels more approachable.
