Here’s what you should know if you want to be an Account Director at R/GA:

 

On any given day you might

●  Foster a close communications relationship with client senior management, creating an atmosphere where issues regarding pricing, performance or team personnel can be discussed

●  Provide leadership in the development of strategic plans that will grow client business as well as generate incremental billings and income

●  Participate in major client presentations and makes other contacts that will strengthen the agency/client relationship

●  Oversee the planning process assessment, situation analysis, brand planning and development of strategic direct marketing plans

●  Determine staff hour requirements and other resources necessary to assure a high level of service to clients as well as profitability including the review of scope of work

●  Evaluate performance and skill level of account group personnel and recommend staffing changes necessary to support client needs

●  Review each client account’s profitability with the department supervisor periodically

●  Work with all departments on strategy, research and results measurement

●  Conduct regular meetings with the account team and relevant members of other services to discuss client problems, opportunities, and work in progress

 

The ideal person

●  Has outstanding public speaking skills and experience

●  Can foster strong, cohesive working interdisciplinary teams

●  Uses alternative analytical approaches to solve digital/interactive/marketing problems

●  Can define solutions that generate measurable results for our clients

●  Exhibits a passion for digital marketing and the creative process

●  Can prepare proposal deck in order to make a new project / business

●  Understands Japanese market deeply

 

You Bring

●  8+ years’ digital agency experience

●  5+ years’ experience working in Japan

●  A proven track record of successfully managing multi--million dollar accounts

●  Experience with various project types including web, mobile, video, brand, social and strategic consulting

●  A track record of multi--tasking in a fast--paced creative environment

●  Proficiency in the fundamental MS Office software

●  Bilingual communication – Japanese & English

● Holiday: Saturday, Sunday, National holidays

Remote / Hybrid Options

At R/GA Tokyo we’ve been working remotely for the past 2 years, and have fully embraced our flexible working philosophy. We will be opening up our office space in Ebisu-nishi, Shibuya, in the summer and under the new hybrid working environment will have options on coming to the office when required. We’re embracing and appreciating the potential fully remote working can offer our people, as well as the business.
