Our Designers are passionate thinkers and makers at the absolute peak of their respective craft. They are design fundamentalists, but approach projects with rational and systematic mindsets, looking for ways to fuse visual, verbal and behavioral design into their creative explorations. They are comfortable taking direction, coaching the design team and managing up to Creative Directors. They’re equally as comfortable making others feel comfortable: leading projects into uncharted territories. 

Here’s what you should know if you want to be an Associate Creative Director at R/GA:

On any given day you might 

  • Inspire and lead a team through multiple on-going projects and timelines 
  • Oversee the creation and production of design solutions for our clients 
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to lead the design craft and execute the creative vision
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure art direction is executed seamlessly across the Nike ecosystem 
  • Partner with and guide our client’s design team 
  • Lead and execute digital design projects 
  • Manage the quality of design throughout all phases of a digital project, from concepts to guidelines delivery 

Learn, do, teach

  • Will give constructive direction and guidance to the design team 
  • Is able to define brand design systems, adapt existing branded systems or document new rules and guidelines based on look and feel 
  • Is a hands-on visual designer who will lead by example, developing visual look and feel for digital creative
  • Has the ability to discern individual team members’ abilities and match the right people with the right work
  • Can confidently present to internal teams and clients 
  • Is a strong communicator and open to a collaborative culture and creative workstreams 

You bring 

  • 8+ years' design experience in design studios, agencies, brand development
  • An ability to work with larger team (time zones) / PST availability 
  • An exceptional portfolio of visual design concepts and execution (proven skills in the areas of conceptual, systematic, and graphic design) 
  • Great understanding of brand and have been part of a team working to develop and craft real brand experiences 
  • Experience in campaign and content production for world-class brands
  • Expert level skills in Figma, Photoshop, InDesign and other relevant design tools. Bonus points for After Effects and prototyping tools
  • Strong leadership, mediation skills and enjoy mentoring and fostering growth of junior team members
