Executive Strategy Directors lead R/GA’s mission to design businesses and brands for a more human future. They translate business problems into insightful strategic directions that inspire and shape our work. They are intersectional thinkers, who can approach a problem from a business, brand, user experience, media, or data angle, and orchestrate talent from across this spectrum. They are pioneers, who create new approaches to problems, new practices for client work, and who see the opportunities that stem from new tech and new customer behaviors.

 

We’re looking for a new Executive Strategy Director for our flagship Nike business. This is a unique opportunity to help one of the world’s greatest brands accelerate its digital marketing strategy, evolve its business for a DTC future, and ultimately create value by serving athletes.

 

On any given day you might:

  • Help Nike to win and serve the next generation of athletes
  • Partner with client teams to innovate their marketing capabilities
  • Deliver bold visions, strategic approaches and consumer engagement plans that define roles for brand, product and retail experiences
  • Orchestrate a strategy team of digital marketing, brand storytelling and brand experience thinkers from the front line
  • Work with strategy leaders across the network to train R/GA’s talent and build its IP

 

The ideal person:

  • Deep expertise in digital marketing, membership and ecommerce
  • A track record of breakthrough strategic and creative output for major brands that drives business objectives 
  • An integrated thinker who can orchestrate and add value to brand strategy, communications, content, membership, retail, and user experience
  • A client-facing leader who can serve as a partner to senior marketers
  • A people manager who can inspire and nurture talent 
  • A collaborator who works iteratively across disciplines in a fast-moving workplace
  • A self starter with a bias for action, and the confidence to push for new approaches

 

The location:

The role and the client are based in Portland, OR. R/GA is committed to a hybrid way of working. There is no requirement to be in the office for a set number of days, though there will be some in-person client workshops and team meetings. You need to work west coast hours.
