The Social Commerce Strategist is responsible for developing social commerce strategies in support of client business objectives, with a specific focus on planning, concepting, updating, and managing the social commerce stores to drive new revenue opportunities and elevate the purchase experience. 

The ideal candidate for this role will work within Emerging Platforms and Features of Social Commerce, consulting to specific accounts on strategy and creative concept development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with team lead and Account/Creative/Tech lead to develop and sell social commerce strategies to existing and prospective clients, across all major platforms, featuring social-led insights, best practices, and relevant strategies for utilizing social media to deliver on stated business goals.
  • Lead development and management of product catalogs, collections and other shopping mandatories across all relevant platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, Snapchat, Tiktok) for the business year
  • Support in planning the cross-channel social commerce calendar, calendaring assets across the season based on relevant cultural moments and events
  • Contribute to R/GA’s POV with regards to social commerce design, concepting, and execution.
  • Identify social commerce opportunities with existing and prospective clients and to cultivate those opportunities into new business.
  • Bring subject matter expertise to all R/GA accounts, understanding of relevant social commerce platforms and vendors.
  • Liaise with the larger Mobile & Social Platforms group to facilitate knowledge sharing. Act as an advocate for R/GA’s expertise in social commerce within the company, educating key stakeholders on innovative and effective ways to address opportunities for business growth through use of social media.
  • Ensure the quality of the concept and work produced by R/GA is of high standards, and ensure flawless execution of all client deliverables.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in planning and executing social commerce strategies for a company or brand
  • Deep understanding of all social media platforms operating procedures, publishing principles and social media measurement
  • An inclusive, modern view of local and global culture and how it translates to social content and creative
  • Must demonstrate persistence with keen attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a multi-discipline collaborative environment
  • Must have an unwavering desire to drive innovation at R/GA with regards to Social Media Commerce

 

Education Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in advertising, marketing, communication design, interaction design, HCI, and/or related field.
