At R/GA, Experience Design (UX) is integral to the creative process and play pivotal roles in the strategy, conception and design of groundbreaking multi-context platforms. We are seeking an Experience Design Director who has experience connecting customers and brands through intuitive interfaces and trans-formative brand experiences. Preference will be given to people who demonstrate a combination of strategic, conceptual and design skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the creation of best-in-class user experience
  • Help define business opportunities and translate insights into consumer-facing experiences
  • Enable the creation of concept models, user interface sketches, and schematics.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to other Experience Designers
  • Coach others and use your skills in research, design, and wireframing to prototype new experiences that will drive value for people, partners and/or businesses
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, and champion high-quality user centered experience design by creating simple, consistent, contextual and culture relevant experiences
  • Facilitate delivery of simultaneous highly visible and challenging projects, providing directional oversight of individual project team's work and assume overall accountability for it
  • Lead/facilitate Design Thinking workshops working directly with end users & business partners, clients
  • Be a hands-on design expert, shaping concepts and seeing it through to detailed design and implementation across a variety of devices and platforms

 

Qualifications:

  • Several examples of successfully launched projects which demonstrate strategic, conceptual and creative thinking
  • Several years of experience in an Experience Design, User Experience or IA role
  • A solid understanding and demonstration of user centered design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the design of large + complex systems of interactions
  • A good understanding of what types of experiences are made possible by current digital technologies
  • Able to develop simple and elegant design approaches to complex design problems
  • Able to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • In possession of excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical and leadership skills
  • Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Can work with grace under pressure
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in at least one of the following domains; product design, commerce, mobile, branding, retail, and social media a plus

 

Experience working in and understanding the Asian market is a big plus.
