That means using both traditional and non-traditional methods to find and engage candidates who are the best at what they do, and creating the situations to successfully bring them in at the right time.

 

Here’s what you should know if you want to be a Associate Director of Recruitment at R/GA:

 

On any given day you might

  • Refer, source, pre-screen and interview candidates for a variety of positions and levels across multiple departments and offices
  • Work closely with department heads and business leaders on recruitment prioritisation, project casting, and staffing plans
  • Be active in onboarding of new hires, including evolution of process and tools in use around this
  • Implement creative sourcing and recruitment strategies to meet company needs while continually cultivating a pool of prospects and partners
  • Partner with HR in managing retention, RM in managing team profiles and Finance in managing sustainable hiring costs through close collaboration and clear communication 
  • Represent the business’s mission, work and processes to both internal stakeholders and external candidates/events. Be an advocate for recruitment in all its forms.
  • Escalation point for any issues around recruitment, including being seen as a trusted advisor to regional and global leadership to advise on calls in interest of wider business
  • Manage external recruitment vendor and retained search engagements and relationships
  • Line management and training of more junior team members. Training of other parts of the R/GA business or our business partners in terms of recruitment best practices
  • Seek out opportunities for thought leadership, event participation and judging invitations

 

The ideal person

  • Has experience managing complex negotiations and successfully influencing at the Executive level
  • Understands a range of digital department skill sets, geographic markets and business models
  • Is commercially-literate to offer sound business advice and be able to action creative solutions
  • Brings a high quality existing network of contacts with a global base to the table
